Superboat International Heads to Michigan City, Indiana for Great Lakes Grand Prix

The next stop on the Superboat International racing series takes place August 7 – 9 on the southern shores of Lake Michigan for the 1st Annual Super Boat Great Lakes Grand Prix. The Michigan City race is the only SBI race on the Great Lakes, and includes a boat parade on Friday, block party on Saturday and plenty of extreme racing on Sunday.

The city's Convention and Visitor's Bureau estimates that up to 20,000 fans will invade the shores of Michigan City for the Grand Lakes Grand Prix for what promises to be an exciting weekend. Fans will have the opportunity to walk through the dry pits in Washington Park and see all their favorite teams and boats. The event will feature many of the world’s fastest and most powerful offshore powerboats racing along a six mile course, in front of thousands of fans along the Beach.
